The Infant of Prague

This statue of the infant Jesus resides in the Church of Our Lady Victorius in Malá Strana, Prague. According to history, the original statue was donated by a Spanish princess to an order of Carmelite nuns in Prague. Daily devotions to Jesus were performed before the statue until an invading army plundered the monastery and the statues, including the Infant of Prague, discarded.

Seven years later it was unearthed from the rubble and restored to the Church. Claims of miracles and healings attract visitors from around the world.
