Saint Philomena
Saint Philomena was a young girl of 12-13 years old. Very little is known of her life except
that she was martyred for her Christian beliefs.
Her tomb was discovered in Rome in 1802, and as she became associated with a number of miracles, she was eventually
elevated to sainthood. Along with Saint Jude and Saint Rita, she is considered a patron of hopeless and impossible
cases, but she is associated with helping in all kinds of situations. Her feast day is August 11th.
